I am the first to admit I love sweets. I know, I know sugar is bad. However, every now and then a sweet made with LOVE, given with LOVE, and eaten with LOVE, can be one of best experiences and memories of my life. (and I think perhaps yours too). On Valentines Day 2019 I surprised my partner (Lee) with a tasting at a new patisserie in Austin, Texas. Fluff Meringues & More located at 4800 Burnet (a wonderful street in Austin with shops and restaurants). Check out their instagram @fluff_meringues. This tiny little shop has a row of 8 tables and a wonderful black/white wall paper giving it a modern 70's vibe. Mills Artists Network Rallies to Raise Scholarship – Auction 2016 Was Incredible
It was an idea, a thought - I got a call from my college friend, Sissy Cutchen www.sissysfolkart.com, about all the amazing artists who went to Mills College. She had an idea to form a network to raise awareness of these artists and raise money for a Mills scholarship. Well, a year later and many, many conversations and many, many computer glitches, we held the first annual Mills Art Auction here on prunella darling. The response was wonderful from the donating artists, alumnae from across the country, and friends of everyone, and we raised $10,000 towards a scholarship and endowment in the name of the Mills Artist Network. Oh, yes Sisters (and Brothers) are doing it for themselves. Mills College was founded in 1852 and is the ... read more

Dumas, who is half-Greek and knew the staff ’s maker, vividly explains how it was created from a single branch, patiently trimmed until it grew sufficiently tall and ... read more
